HEY YOU GUYS…..
Hopelink needs us.
Thank you so much for your support of this drive. I want to cry, ok, I am crying.
I went to Hopelink today. They were packed. PACKED. With a capital D.
Not packed with donations. Packed with people signing up for help. People shopping in the market. Normal people who look like us. People from our community.

There was a mom with a little girl waiting in the long line to set up her account so she could shop in the market. A little girl just like Kira was. She could have been any of our children. The mom could have been any of us.

My heart was pounding. I had a dentist appointment to get my tooth fixed. A financially stable problem. Insurance covers 50%. I can pay the rest. I can pay $1000 to get my tooth fixed rather than choose to wait and have it pulled.
I have not always been able to do this. https://www.kimberlyirenesalon.com/post/the-night-that-changed-my-life
What if your family suddenly lost all sources of income? Your stock was void. You only had the money in your savings account. NOT investments, NOT shit you can sell. Money that can be spent today. How long can you get by on that?
Most people don’t have 3 months, let alone 3 days of extra money to get by. Maybe we all need to balance our spending. Tech would have a big problem if we all stopped buying.
Not one of us is immune to poverty.

Keep bringing those daily donations. We can't wait until Thanksgiving. We can't wait.
If the golden rule is to treat others as you want to be treated. Now is the time to prove it!
XOXO - Kimberly
